I thought it was pretty good. I think Dave could do alot better though. It's not 1982, 92 or 2002 anymore...Dave needs to find a direction or just continue covering his old bands material. I hope for new stuff.

After hearing Ed lately, It's nice to hear somebody in the VH camp still get it right.

Well, it was OK..the music was great, Dave is Blah.... Singing wise and looks wise. He needs to stick to the Bluegrass stuff, it's more his style these days.

Ive never heard a good version of Panama live,
VH or otherwise..

Is there one out there ?

That song to me will always be a "studio" song.
Not one that translates well, live..

And Panama is one of my favourite VH songs.

Not a rip on Dave either, the band's (VH/Other)
never seem to capture the same vibe that was
on the album. They all blast the fuck out of it
without much thought about the poor bloke
who has to sing the shit...

On the album, apart from the intro and chorus riffs,
its mostly just bass in the verses with Eddie
playing some bridging chords at the start and end
of each of Dave's lines...
(Cool bridging riffs indeed, but not fighting Dave's vocal)

All the live versions Ive heard sound like the guitarists
are smacking out the chords all the way.
Great for moshing, but fuck, it must be hard for Dave to
get that kinda laid back/metal groove thing he had
happening in the studio...

Heres a challenge, someone post a "GREAT" version
of Panama live. I want to be proven wrong.

Agreed! Hey Tiki-T....where in So. Carolina are you located? I used to live in the upstate...Greenwood and Greenville, SC....now I'm in Dave's Mojodojo land/CVH former stomping grounds, PASADENA !!!!
