    Kurt Jefferis

I thought about the Lost Weekend With Van Halen the other day after watching the video footage on youtube. I was wondering if anyone knows where he is now or if anything was ever heard from him since. That had to be the most memorable moment in his life. To get to go on stage with the mighty VH. The video footage is awesome. The crowd is going freak'n' nuts.

There is a ph# & address listed for a K Jefferis in Phoenixville, PA on the Yahoo people search. That's where he was from back then. Send him a postcard and invite him to post at this site.

The full video footage of all the behind the scenes and the full ATBL clip cause quit a stir a few years back when it was released for general trading.

It was hoarded for over 20 years between just a few traders. The BTB put it on dvd. A couple all out wars over at JTT and vhtrading. I remember getting the show a week or so before it was put up for torrent from an Anonymous source.

If you got some time to kill you can read about how it came out: Vh Mtv Lost Weekend + Raw Footage - JamToThis

Some great stuff on that dvd.

From my March 20th entry in "This Day in CVH/DLR History".....

          "1984
Van Halen plays the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. Autograph is the opening act.

MTV chooses Kurt Jefferis of Phoenixville, PA, as the winner of their Lost
Weekend with Van Halen contest. Jefferis, whose postcard was picked from
more than one million entries, passed on offers of clothing, cars, women, and
even $5,000 to take his best friend, Tom Winnick. 1,000 runners-up win a copy
          of 1984."

          And the August 31st entry....

          1984
David Lee Roth on cover of Faces Rocks Magazine. ""My Lost Weekend with Van Halen"": four-page feature on Kurt Jefferis (the winner of the MTV Lost Weekend with Van Halen contest) by Ann Kolson.
