    Roth talks more than he sings...

    He sure does, and he does a great job of it too. Not every singer "sings" songs. Some of the greatest singers of my generation didn't really have great singing voices. So why in the hell do all the Sammy fans knock Dave because "he talks-doesn't sing"?

    -Mick Jagger has made some nice coin Talk singing-
    -David Bowie talks sings more than singing.-
    -Steve Tyler talks all the newer songs-
    -ac/dc anyone?-
    -Poison-
    -Alice Cooper-

    Anyone care to add to that list?
    thats just 6 singers who "talk sing" and have made a fortune at it. So you Van hagar fans claiming that dave "talk sings" and that's why he sucks, is an invalid point.
    And any Hagar song Ive ever heard, he talks through them all.

    This thread started because Mr Grumpyass says Gary and Sam sing. Dave just talks. Grrr...

      Dave performs. Sure he can't belt out like he used to. Shit he gave most of what he had to make VH a great band. But i will take Dave and his sing-talk and his preformance over any one else in VH.

          I love the talking in the Van Halen songs great stuff!
          Apparently this was being made up as he went along.

          In the Van Halen concerts I've seen on video Dave's talks are also very entertaining in between the songs and even during some of them. I can watch Dave talking and have a real laugh. I just fast forward the drum and bass solos.... yawn
