Yep it's always sad when someone is persuaded to join the sheep cause, with ballads and cheese.

I think Bill cwsmith17 just needs a new dog in his life. That will make him happy again. It would create some positive thoughts in his head.

          What do you think?

Well, Dave definately doesn't sing 'The Sound of Music', but this article / link would be useful to him...(FYI, I would ultimately like to see Dave get back to the top of his game, which wouldn't hurt in pushing Ed to get over himself and get the old group back together)

Voice Restoration: New Techique To Aid Damaged Voices
(New York-WABC, June 13, 2002) — Unless we are singers, most of us rarely think of damaging of losing our voices. But many people do. ABC7's Dr. Jay Adlersberg is On Call with a report of a major superstar and her new voice challenge.
Our voices and our faces are the major elements we use to express emotion. That's why they mean so much to performers. So damaging and losing or losing one's voice can be devastating. One superstar is rising to a new challenge in medicine and that is voice restoration.

She's a superstar whose voice has thrilled us for a number of decades. But an unfortunate vocal chord injury and subsequent surgery left Julie Andrews unable to sing.

This morning, the dazzling diva sat with top-named Harvard and MIT scientists to launch a pioneering research program for voice restoration.

Julie Andrews, Singer: "The loss of my singing gift was a difficult chapter for me but I am delighted at this moment to be using my voice in a new and important way."

The scientists include her own Boston surgeon, and experts in voice analysis, tissue engineering and laser surgery. Their goal is to advance their ability to restore voices.

Dr. Steven Zeitels, Harvard Medical School: "Our goal is at this point is to try to define what is probably a fixable injury and to help people who lost the use of their voice."

Artists are not the only ones who will be helped. Cancer patients and people with voices injured at birth will also be helped.

Andrews: "Children who were born prematurely who have tubes put down their throats enable them to breathe who then sustain vocal scarring. This is for people in all walks of life who use their voices."

There are people whose vocal cords were scarred, but for others with voice injuries, more is needed. So these scientists also intend to create a biomaterial to help them fix chords that might need an implantable tissue.

With the brilliance and dedication of these scientists surrounding her, can Julie Andrews have voice be restored? It is a remote possibility.

Andrews: "I suppose this new research could potentially help me, but it not about that. The message I'm hoping to get out is that I wholeheartedly endorse this particular kind of research."

Singing, talking, or acting like an idiot - I love Dave just the same.

Dave doesn't "talk sing," as cw has put it. Now on the 1984 tour he did that, but he doesn't do that now. Where do you get this from cwsmith? Have you even seen or heard Dave in the past 3 years?

You think Hagar could do an better??? Don't even bother answering that cwsmith, 'coz everyone know that he can't. Dave doesn't talk sing: I saw him in Feb and his singing was fucking superb. Nothing could beat it.
