    Idea for a reunion..Pay-Per-View?

I was thinking about special concerts on PPV that took place in the
past and came up with an idea. Look, I know we are sick of hearing about this and getting our hopes up for such a long time, but bear with me for a minute.

Look at many big bands these days and what they've accomplished.
What do the Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, and maybe a few others done in the past 15 years when something big happened? They had a special PPV event on pay TV!

Seeing as Dave is the only one keen on a reunion and the others are just occupied with other sad things, why not a 2-night concert at a large stadium that will be live on PPV? Seriously think about it. It's for only a short period of time and you can always buy the DVD and the CD's for keepsakes sometime later on when they are released. It has to happen any other way and this is just a suggestion.

For all those who keep criticizing us for keep wanting the reunion I have this to say; If you want us to keep our mouths shut about it,
then make it happen even for a pay T.V. special. VH simply cannot go out with a dying wimper. That joke of a sheep tour 2 years ago was just a slap in our faces. End everything off in the same picture as you see behind Diver Down with the giant see of heads in the distance.

Like Dave has said, I think there needs to be closure.

    This could be a solution.

Or this could be a way to see what kind of interest there is in a full blown tour. I think EVH would be surprised at how many people want to see Roth with VH at least one more time.

I said that months ago. Surely they could get it together for one night. 1 night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Home town crowd, 100,000 capacity, broadcast on pay-per-view, sell the dvd after.

Start the hype by releasing any songs they already have recorded with Dave 4-6 months prior. (10 albums according to Ed). You know there were extras from 1996. And also some from 2000 & 2002. Maybe even some gems that were never released from 78-84.

I think it's a great idea and we know it would do well!!! I don't think Eddie really cares anymore and I know alot of us ehere can't stand Hagar but he made a comment recently that ed is just bitter and angry and no one really knows why. Yea, it might be Sam just saying that but what have we seen from EVH that proves otherwise. Jammin' with Kenny Chesney or that haphazard 'jam' that we all saw on yourtube that nobody knew what the hell it was. What a legacy, Ed, get the head of your ass and do this with Dave for the fans!!!

Yup. Ed is completely out of it and clearly needs Dave to get his ass back on track. Ed has too many "yes" people around him and has for many years...he needs Dave to say "Fuck, no" when its neccessary.

Ed could also use a little help getting dressed in the morning (or late afternoon ???) But, thats a whole different thread.... :D

Just release all of the recordings in the vault.

He doesn't want a reunion because he knows it would do great. If it does great, then he gets proven wrong for all the Dave bashing over the years (especially in 1996). If he doesn't do the reunion, we'll never actually know if Dave could have pulled it off and Eddie can claim he was right the whole time.

Eddie has to much to lose with a reunion.

Maybe a 2-off deal like that could work. They'd have to get through rehearsals first. I'm thinking the chateau where the Stones recorded Exile, if it's still there. Just have everyone isolated in different rooms. Similair deal with the show itself....have Ed on some kind of hovering pEDestal, and Dave claiming the stage.

In all seriousness, it would suck to see some sort of phoned-in mediocrity.

I'd still ante up to see it though!!

Or...perhaps they could all take a running leap of the Empire State Building...

not that would be a pay off...

                      For the record....

I called for this 3 years ago on The Wall here while the main site was down......

and got laughed at because all of the know-it-alls said they'd be together and touring loooong before it came to needing a PPV

                        Ehhhh...

It would be a fucking trainwreck. Dave's the ONLY one that still has the tude of VH pumping through his veins. Eddie couldn't play his way out of the paper sack that his last bottle of boonsfarm was in. As for Michael Anthony, apparantly the sisters don't want him anywhere near them and I say fuck him as well after the recent radio interview I heard of his. The portly bitch STILL wont shut the fuck up and continues to slam Dave... So, enjoy what's left hangin' with his cheddarness.

Yeah, did I say that I don't think any of them could cut it live except Dave?

I said three years ago that the best thing that could happen to this band is a Jonestown Kool-Ade free for all...
