Roth Songs in Promo. Sammy has agreed to sing them ?

Ok this is fucked up.
But in a recent interview with Spammy, he has hinted that its all about Van Halen and performing their best songs, not just a Van Hagar deal.
He says it used to be more about *him* but now he has moved on and its all about *Van Halen*. Scary shit.

This got me thinking about all the promotions using Daves songs. If Sammy has actually agreed to sing these songs, suddenly it makes sense that they would be featured in promotions.

How fucked is that ??

Maybe it won't be spam singing them? Dave and Spam both know that they have their own individual fans-it would make sense for both of them to capitalize on this reunion by working together. It is just not publicized because of the past failed attempts and the lack of trust; Dave doesn't want to be used again and the fans would now stick by them through another fiasco like that.

Yeah I guess the saving grace is that Spammy is a known compulsive liar, anything he says should be taken with a grain of salt. It would make sense however why they are using all those Roth songs in the promos...

Dave is "show people." He would do it for the publicity.

I wondered the same thing myself. Why would the “Mighty Van Halen” need the Roth years for their “long awaited return to the stage”?

It’s really crap. Will Hagar still want people on stage for a prop? He needs them there and I don’t think little Eddie would want them there. But with little Eddie still drinking, they can use the prop barmaid.

I wouldn't put too much into the promos to be honest. They've always played Dave tunes when promoting a Van Hagar show.
