The Guy said it was gonna happen very soon, possibly next week (Thanksgiving) -- so I don't know.

I did the 'waiting' game before -- and all we got was a Sam-Dave tour in '02 and a lame ass Van Hagar tour in '04.

The difference between 1996 and now is that Eddie knew full well he didn't want anyting to do with Dave BEYOND the two songs.

Gary Cherone was already tapped as the new singer when Dave walked out on that stage.

If there is no official announcement of some sort by the end of the month then all of this stuff lately has been bullshit. I also think that if they were close to making an announcement that the official site would not continue to have Hagar as the singer. They would at least change it to just a page that says something like "coming soon" or "under reconstruction" or "stay tuned" or something. I mean, the official site doesn't even mention anything about the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame news. The same shit has been on there since the 2004 mistake.

when my friend and I were at lunch last week discussing this.

He was adamant that there would be NO NEW ALBUM.

So it looks like Eddie's plan is tour - and thats it folks.

Again, the current status of things .....and something that could change later on.

This doesn't make any sense to me. If anything, you would think that there would be a CD and no tour since Eddie loves to spend so much time in the studio which is at his house and also because of the fact that he claims to have tons of material.
