Man...1996. What a fucking blown opportunity.

Odd part of it is that Dave and Al, as already mentioned, looked the most civil towards one another during the presentation and interviews afterwards.

Ed had a look on his face throughout the whole proceedings that indicated he'd rather be ANYWHERE but there with Dave.

Funny how Ed and Mike both mention how the only upcoming thing they have to do with Roth is the two promo videos, and then "they'll take it from there". And Dave has a sheepish look on his face: he's still displaying his belligerent optomism, but it's as if he's finally facing up to fact that he's been had.

I have that on tape.I tell ya, Dave looked damn young then. 1996 doesnt seem that long ago but fuck, its been 10 years!!!!!

they really really missed the boat and fucked up. they could have ruled the world again and the world was waiting. ed really fucked up and was more concentrated on revenge for dave leaving the band in the first place.


they really fucked up a money making machine. people were waiting to unload boat loads of money and the creative wheels were in motion. MWM and CGTSNM were really good songs. they could have realyl blew the world away.

I hate all of the "he said, she said" crap around the whole '96 thing.

That fact is, a full reunion never really got under way because of the gigantic ego's in that band.

None of them made it work and its a big fucking shame!

(although, at a guess I'd say Ed was the big problem)
