Let's say WB "forces" Dave on the brothers..would you really want to see "that" version of VH? The animosity of the situation would most likely tear them apart fast.

Not really interested in Ed and Al's amicable version of Van Halen. Once Roth left, and the friction was gone, the music became soft and lazy.
WB is a business. If Van Hagar was selling millions, they wouldn't give a shit about Dave being there or not. And if Dave were still pulling in upwards of a million a record, he'd likely still be signed to WB. WB reps know what singer will bring in the most money with VH.
