    G4/Janie Liszewski's Report...

"G4's TheFeed reports that Eddie Van Halen's spokesperson Janie Liszewski has revealed that VAN HALEN is currently writing and rehearsing for a summer 2007 tour. In addition, Liszewski has confirmed that Eddie's son Wolfgang has officially been named the new bassist in the band.

"Yes, I can confirm this story in the respect of Wolfgang being the new bass player for the band and yes he has been in the studio with his dad and uncle rehearsing and writing for an upcoming summer 2007 tour," Liszewski exclusively told TheFeed about the article that was first posted on TMZ.com last week. "Wolfgang most certainly has inherited the Van Halen musical genius gene. At 15 years of age his knowledge, understanding, skill, and command of multiple instruments is impressive."

When asked about the rumor that the VAN HALEN boys will enlist original VH singer David Lee Roth into the fold for this tour, Liszewski said, "There has been no confirmation that David Lee Roth will be touring this coming summer."

Liszewski also confirmed what Eddie announced on "The Howard Stern Show" in September — that Michael Anthony is definitely no longer in VAN HALEN."

No confirmation of Dave, hunh? Maybe he did the right thing backed out when Mike was no longer an option?

That's not really a denial though, right?

Maybe they just haven't crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's.

Didn't Alex make a couple of Jr. Van Halen's? They're not musically inclined? Must suck that uncle Eddie's kid is getting all of the attention (and food).

Well, it's still a bunch of shit, either way. I personally do NOT want to hear anybody other than David singing for Van Halen, and I personally do NOT want anybody other than Mike playing bass for Van Halen.

Unfortunately, if this is from Eddie's spokesperson, I'm forced to take it pretty seriously. I doubt seriously that she'd risk her job making any sort of "official" announcements if they were not actually confirmed and official.

Which makes it Edward, Wolf, Alex and singer unknown at this point.

Meaning - it's STILL not Van Halen.

He can still throw her under the bus if sides cave in and accept their offer. He doesn't lose face as he can claim he didn't say it.

All this means to me is that Dave was asked. He inquired into who was to be officially "in" and to what degree the payday golden goose gets carved up.

I'm thinking that once he heard what they were trying to pull, he said thanks but no thanks.

C'mon Dave, give us a break.

Put out a new release with the band you have RIGHT NOW!!!

Let them have the input that you would've given Ed, AL and bassplayer.

            BRING IT!

She isn't telling us anything we don't already know.

Interesting that EVH is having her be the spokesperson...it was previously Larry Solters, who works with Irv Azoff.

The girlfriend has no previous experience with musical talent and I don't think DLR is going to let her speak on his behalf on whether he rejoins forces with the family or not.

Let's wait and see, but a personal opinion is that Dave will do it.

Have we heard from THE GUY ? Perhaps he knows more than Ed's Future-Ex Wife.

                    Fuck the rumors...and the rumor-mongers....

I'm surprised EVH didn't name his girlyfriend the new singer of Sham-Halen............

The way I see it....I'm not going to be swayed either way by these RUMORS...and like Matt White says, their a bunch of Rumors.

When we hear from Dave, or an intelligent source close to Dave, then we can think differently.

The last time Rumors seemed to cause a tangent was during the "ROCKSTAR:TV" crapola. No need to get feathers ruffled up until we hear from Diamond Dave's Camp.

For all we know, Ed's girlfriend is trying to make a name for herself as something other than Ron Jeremy's Publicist - therefore, the more she gets her name out there in the public domain, she'll say things that have already been repetitious to us and she's trying to cause a stirring sensation. (maybe her way of creating enough noise to get us hyped up for ticket sales? - Wolfie isn't the ticket.)

Not gonna happen till we hear it from DLR.....sorry, Ms. EVH.

It's hard to say either way. I would normally say that Van Halen's official website will be the be-all end-all of confirmed Van Halen info, but...it's not exactly been a site of up-to-the-minute information over the seven or eight years.

Still, it's a safe bet to say that anything OFFICIAL will be official there after everybody already knows about it, as was the case with 2004's Van Hagar trainwreck.

If Wolfgang playing in the band can bring Eddie back to this world and maybe even inspire him to play up to his potential, then I can miss Mike's solo and super background vocals.

Sure there are some songs that I will miss Mikes nut-clamping vocals, but I can't see Ed being in anything other than in a rut with such an ass-kissing, reliable as a Sears tent, Sammy-loving yes-man.

                          Bring on Wolfgang!

Dave won't be a part of this until he sees it is working. Then, who is to say a full CVH lineup can't happen?

how, How, HOW does this band manage to fuck up EVERYTHING they touch?

                              EVERYTHING.

There hasn't been an exception to this profound clusterfuck for over 20 years.
