Michael Anthony and his "mullet o' plugs" never has and never will have anything to say that is worthwhile.

Could Mike possibly expect to be called after signing his rights away and having the publishing changed to participate in the 2004 train wreck?
He should have waited to throw his last chip on the table for the Dave reunion.
Shit, for all we know the chemistry might be actually good with Wolfgang due to his availability and how much they've been (rumored to be) practicing.
If Ed's stoked about his kid being involved his playing may be more inspired. Time will tell.
If nothing else, the fucking lyrics will be better if we get new jams.

Suppose one could take it as confirming the Wolfie rumors, but I'm more than half inclined to think ALL of the 2007 reunion chatter is bullshit until proven otherwise.

            I agree with you.

You and I are among the many who have been around for all these rumors all these years.

I believe the Roth Army Official Stance(c) is: "I'll believe it when Ed and Dave start swinging at each other while on stage and Mike and Al stand around looking confused".

              Heh heh heh...

If nothing else..maybe playing with his kid will get Eddie off the sauce..
I really dont give a shit anymore if Roth is involved...Van Halen is dead and ANYTHING now is half-assed...too late to make any honest effort out of this...

Although according to Mike the only reason he was able to participate in 2004 with the Van Hagar reunion is because Sammy insisted on it...so it really wouldn't be a shocker if the Van Halens didn't even bother to call Anthony at all, particularly if they have no inentions of asking him to play with them in 2007.

I'm not inclined to believe it. Short of actual professional help, I don't think Ed is going to stop drinking on his own accord. Nothing will incite him on a personal level that much, not after so many years and not after the addiction has ran it's course.

This is coming from somebody who's seen that level of alcoholism up close and been affected by it, by more than one person. Ed will lose EVERYTHING and still care about nothing except for where his next drink is coming from.

Hate to say it, but that's reality.

Seems like every two years or so since 1999 a bunch of rumors start floating around, but the only time I thought anything would happen was in late 1999/2000, after Cherone left.

Roth was trying to get something going with the band in 1996, 2001 and apparently 2003, and they couldn't seal the deal.

Far as getting back together goes, these guys are fucking hopeless.
