Latest Rumor - Van Halen on new Monster's of Rock tour?

    Check this link out...

Halfway into the article they mention:

"Monsters of Rock is expected back next summer and rumoured bands set to appear include WHITESNAKE, AC/DC and even VAN HALEN! THUNDER are bound to be involved in some shape of form as they own the rights to the MOR name and logo."

    Thoughts?

They only need an opening act if Diamond Dave is not involved.

I'd almost suggest a movie prior to them taking stage...but...I really don't think they need an opening act either. Although I do imagine there'd probably be quite a few acts out there that would love the chance to tour with the ORIGINAL Van Halen.

                That's bull...

I know we all have these crazy dreams of it being awesome...

But even if it's reasonably good, many people are going to return to this board feeling let down because their expectations are so high...

Combine that with no Michael Anthony and it's gonna be a total-let-down...

                Sorry, no thanks...

Excellent points to keep in mind. If Mike's not a part of it, neither am I...if Mike DOES come around and we all get in line, we need to keep in the forefront of our memory that's it NOT 1983 again and we won't be seeing a 1983ish concert out of them, by all indications.

Elvis speaks wisdom. There's bound to be more than a few let-downs along the way, regardless of whether or not it's a full reunion.

                    Realisticly....

They should get ALICE IN CHAINS...and still play 2 1/2 hours.....

It's not like their gonna play for 4 hours.....

Still...I'd have NO PROBLEM seeing them by themselves.............

Hey they should have an opening band that sucks....just like they always did back in the early 80s.

Gets people irritated and wanting to see the headliner even more!!!

I'd like to see an all original Van Halen open up for an all original Black Sabbath...

                        Again...

I'd be amazed if Tony Iommi ever goes on stage with Ozzy Osbourne again after this summers tour with RJD, honestly...

                            c'mon, Monsters Of Rock?

They might do European festival dates in the summer on that tour, in addition to a full US tour, but I can't see them doing that alone.

There's just not enough cash in it for them....
