Why Van Halen will never release a Dave era concert on DVD

It would prove that Dave is the star of Van Halen.

And there's your reason why Eddie will never let one come out.

They wont release it because its what the fans want. Since when have Van Halen (Post Dave) given the fans what they wanted ?

Fuck I wish it was 1978 and also wish I was born 17 years earlier. I'd probably be getting laid more often, but that's way off topic! LOL :D

I guess Ed is more motivated by ego than some extra beer money.

The sisters are just plain scared of the classic legacy.

It looms over their head, and the "Where's Dave" question is never gonna go away.

Those 6 albums and tours they did with Dave at the helm will continue to overhshadow anything Eddie does with some other singer.

Why fight it? The Van Halens should not only face their fears when it comes to dealing with the timeless music they created with Dave, but embrace it rather than bury their heads in the sand and pretend it never happened.

If Dave were half as washed up as Edwina and Alexis claim, funny how the two tracks they did with him in 1996 were good enough to be included alongside their greatest hits.

Shit, Dave's been on the road for half a decade. If anything, it's the rest of Van Halen who are washed up, sitting on their asses.

I held out hope for Led Zeppelin. VH w/ DLR would be great, but at least I got to see them in '81 & '84. DLR is still the Master of Cerimonies '02 & '03 proved it.
