I expect CVH. Sure they've aged (some for the better, some for the worse), but Van Halen w/ David Lee Roth at the helm on their WORST day would make all of the emo, rap, top 40 and country music artists go away and rethink another career.

To set the bar to when THE Mighty Van Halen ruled the world is a bit crazy on anyone that's doing it. Like I stated before...they're older.

I want to hear CVH represented in the manner that's respectful and reaching forward for new fans (with new material!!!), anything else could be earmarked as total closure.

If we're talking about our memories of what we were doing then I'd agree with you. There's a void that only CVH can fill and when they hit the studios they put out music that stands up. We deserve to see CGTSNM and MWM performed live. The planet would be a better place to have it see the Mighty Van Halen again.

Firstly I expect to see my all-time favorite band on stage for my first time, and secondly I expect to see them set the world afire with crazy cool music just to prove that they've bridged the gap they let form between them.

But on the latter part I quoted?

Um....er...I'd advise a visit to YouTube or such else to see for yourself before making such statements about Dave...

Dave's still crooning like a pro, and his moves are just as polished as they were 20 years ago. He's been taking care of himself, as well as taking stock in his showmanship.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to find out how wrong you are.

I don't think anyone's expecting it to be like CVH in 1982, but that doesn't mean it can't be good....

No matter what happens, it HAS to be better than that steaming pile of shit that toured in 2004....calling itself "Van Halen."

Dave on his worst day is EXPONENTIALLY BETTER than Spammy at his best....

hopfully it will happen now and not be brought up in 10 years again, because 60 is a pretty old age to go on tour for a couple months.
