Ha!!! It was prolly a supersoaker squirt gun filled with water so EVH could "bless" Mike cos that seemed to be Ed's gig during that period of time.
It's still both a scary and yet funny image to envision...
EVH all smashed, walks up to Mike, pulls out some striped, plastic squirt gun and fires water point blank into anthony's face.
Something that would fit perfectly into that Van Halen comic stuff from a few years back.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. That being my squirt gun thing, not that of a deadly nature.

There's no way it actually happened.
I don't care who it was but if ANYONE (including a lifelong friend) pulled a real fucking gun on me, there would be hell to pay. Also and considering Ed's "alleged" state during said tour, along with Hagar's comments (including everything else) that supposedly took place during that trainwreck, something would've transpired. Seriously, M.A. may be a yes man and all that but I don't think for one friggin' second that the dude would let someone actually pull a fucking gun on hin and get away with it, let alone EVH.
I'm just thinking that Ed either pissed on their gear and turned around with a bottle 'o loon whilst acting like a cowboy (a'la the "(Oh) Pretty Woman" video) and this alleged incident took on a life of it's own.
