Is Edward setting us up again? I can't help but think that once again,

we are going to be shit on, the Van Halen way. Would anyone here

actually be surprised if there is in deed no intention of reforming with

Dave? What the fuck is up with Spammy and the RRHOF? It doesn't

make sense to me or many others, why this is going to happen,

unless, it is strictly for the attention Van Halen has received of

present for Van Halen 4?

Did Edward call out Dave in print and in the Stern interview to shift the

lack of a reunion so he could blame Dave?

All Edward would have to say is, " I called Roth but he couldn't put his ego aside for a reunion.

With the whole MA paycut, I am sure the same sticking point will raise

it's ugly head, but Edward will deflect that by blaming Roth(as he

always does) once Dave tells him to go and FUCK himself, and

rightfully so!!

Shouldn't we have already heard something by now if indeed it was

going to happen? The BUZZ would be heard round the world!

the bottum line is 99% of the population could care less about a DLR/VH reunion/setup by Ed... a "bait and Switch" would do nothing for a guy with no record contract, greatly diminished fan base, disgruntled fans, etc.

I think Ed is trying to look cool in print ,etc. But Really Roth is his only option to bring the diehards to the arenas...lucky for Ed there are still alot of DLR-Vh fans...not a ton or as many as would have came out in 1996 but whatever...

Plus they can't really package this as a real VH reunion without Bassplayer...it's pretty much going down as a half assed version anyway you slice it...Ed just can't do it right..too much ego involved

However, David Lee Roth and Edward Van Halen are brand names and I believe you don't have to call it a CVH reunion as long as you mention Dave, Edward and possibly Alex with Wolfenstein on bass. That could sell!

As far as packaging it as real Van Halen, it hasn't been that for 22 years anyway.

I think you could be right on this one.(a big maybe) . I think Daves bullshit detector is set on high this time around. There will be no official announcement until the lawyers have it all sorted out on PAPER!

How does it come around to Edward saying he is willing to work with Roth? DLR has continually said he calls the boys every new year and all of a sudden Edward is picking up the phone and saying "get down here bitch" Dave has been saying it for X amount of years and all of a sudden it's Eddie's idea or so it was presented to us in that form?

It's Ed's way of showing the world that he's the boss. But in reality he know's DLR is VH's only hope of getting a draw. Though he'd never admit it.....

I agree, however, I can't see Edward eating crow or Alex for that matter. If I recall alex saying, Dave will never front Van Halen!
And how about Edward's interview with the 2dorks when Edward says that the CVH die hards should get a life with respect to a DLR reunion?
Or how about Edward saying " when you get remarried and it doesn't work out with your second wife, you don't go back to your first wife?

I mean, I suppose he could try and pull the bait-and-switch, but as already pointed out the dude and his band have no record label, so it's not like he can retrace the 1996 deal over again with another new lead singer...

Even the sisters have finally realized that virtually nobody cares about what they do anymore unless Dave is involved. The tepid response to 2004 was a wake-up call.
