We just hope VH hold it together long enough to tear through a few classics from their Diamond Dave era; and hey, if everything falls apart before they get a chance to perform the Cabo Wabo crap from the Van Hagar years, quite frankly, we'll be OK with that...

It's DAVE's night! and a Dom Perignon night for US! I'll be toasting to you too!
Hi bantonelli,

I choked reading that statement and had to wipe pepsi off my monitor.
I'm sorry, Stringfelowhawk....didn't mean to beat cha to it...shall we say, brilliant minds think alike?!?!?!
After I read the last paragraph of the article and seeing it on the front page of YAHOO, I thought, we got us a YAHOO DLR FAN!! Nice to see someone put it all in the right perspective calling the Van Hagar stuff "Crap"!!:D
"Meet us in the Future.....NOT the Pasture".......DLR, August '07, VH Press Conference - Tour '07-'08
There are a number of regular takes on Van Halen in the media:
1. Article makes no explicit mention of Roth v. Hagar issues, but includes a photo of the band with DLR, not Sammy.
2. MTV / VH-1 shows about rock, the 80s, whatever, where the commentators -- who are by and large other musicians -- wax nostalgic about the DLR years and don't say shit about the Van Hagar era.
3. Article that comes right out and says that DLR-era was classic, and Hagar era was the second coming of Journey.
I'll concede that now and then you'll find some misguided statement in the media about Van Hagar's superiority, but these are few and far between.
I am sure that the reality of all this is impossible for Round Rocker, Deadward, Shemp/Chimp, and BassPlayer to ignore.
