Out of high school for three years in '84 ... racing cars! It was about this year I flipped my mini truck into the cow pastor! Probably had VH in the tape player! Hangin' out in the backwoods by the fire with a kegger and some close friends!

I remember 1984. I got out of high school that year. Nothing short of a miracle....people were dying, and dogs were getting spray-painted. In retrospect, people getting spray-painted would have been better.

For the better part of 4 years after 1984, I basically tried to end my own life....working on a shrimp boat, framing condominiums, setting fire to cow pastures, etc.

Fuck,fuck fuck! What the hell is this? new years eve with a buzz on and the big World Premeire Video from Van Halen sounded like Phil fucking Collins for a few seconds!Then Dave screams and I'm not so pissed anymore.I go buy the cassete and realize my panic was in vain after "Panama",but I can't figure out what "I'll Wait"is doing there.The Keyboard Album.
HERE THEY COME!!! 2 sold out shows in March 7-8 @Riverfront Coliseum.Can't buy tix, on my way to Ft.Knox the 7th.Sep.4 finally get a break.Monsters of Rock in Nuremburg Ger.w/AC/DC. Catch the train with some buds,saw the 1 hr set in the sun.Something seemed "different" to me...
Out on a gunnery range in the middle of nowhere Apr.85 the news spread around that Dave quit.Fuck,fuck, fuck!
Been waiting ever since.

Pigs, chickens, goats, cows, ducks, horses, geese (no sheep!)...

5 flower beds to weed...

Rain gutters to clean...

Helping to paint, carpet, put up sheet rock in a house that was in desperate need of renovation...

Mowing the lawn...

Tilling the up and coming garden...

Occasionally finding time to kick the fuck back and enjoy the peace and quiet...

I'd go back to it in a heartbeat.

For me it's memories of Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier winning their first Stanley Cup along with that great young dynasty up in Edmonton..

It's memories of Don Mattingly emerging as the best young hitter in baseball; and Jack Morris, Lance Parrish, Kirk Gibson leading the Detroit Tigers to the World Series..

It's memories of Dan Marino taking the NFL by storm...and Joe Montana proving that he was the greatest of all time.

"Purple Rain" hit the theaters and launched Prince into stardom..

It's memories being 15 and young without a worry in the world and the world as my oyster. Fuck, it seems like yesterday. lol Shit, time flies.
