"Me wise magic" and "Can't get this stuff no more" are different but damn good. They are like an oasis in a sea of musical shit. If anything new comes out, I hope it has a heavy Dave influence. Listening to albums from "VHI" to "A little ain't enough" shows that Dave still had the ability to write good lyrics long after they had parted ways.

Personally I love Me Wise Magic & Can't Get...
Hmm what would Roth do with Finish What You Started? He wouldn't sing about lettin' it slide when another guy sleeps with your gal!
I liked the song but that loser lyric always bugged me. Don't know if Roth could've kept Ed away from keyboards...

Would have loved to hear Dave sing 5150, Summer Nights and Best of Both Worlds. Why Can't this be Love is the worst tune VH ever did behind Finish what you Started and How Many Say I. CGTSNM and MWM were incredible...two of my all time favorite VH songs.

That said, given the weakness of the post 1984 songs compared to those produced prior to 1984, could Dave have made them any better? For instance, Me Wise Magic sucked. Flame me, but it sucked some serious shit. It has nothing on Unchained, And The Cradle Will Rock, Jamie’s Crying, Atomic Punk, Take Your Whiskey Home, and the list goes on. Rumor has it that Roth never liked Jump…EVH’s first venture into bubble gum music. So would Dave been stuck with the same old weak shit SH got?
NO! Because Dave is a weak baritone while Sammy is a tenor. Dave can't sing anything that has a melody.

STEVE PERRY can sing better than IGGY POP.

I certainly think DLR and VH after 1984 would have been great to hear thats for sure. Who would know what would be next. The anticipation for the next album wouldve been great thats for sure. I wouldve like to hear what they had to offer on the follow up to 1984 with DLR .
