                                        CVH were the kings in many aspects. Guitar-wise, the solos come to mind first.
                                        The riffs are relatively underrated IMO; the additional melodies placed in very little room in between lines are still as awesome for me to hear after the 30,000th listen. :D
                                        Add the genious sound, the special use of effects and of course EVH's breathtaking technique...
                                        Nearly all the intros, and many outros as well, were gems in themselves.
                                        My fave outros: "DOA", "Fools", "Drop Dead Legs" and "House of Pain".

                                        As for intros, "Mean Street" stands a little higher than the rest. It's EVH's best one IMO, an awesome piece of music by a most awesome musician. Top of top stuff.

                                        And how amazing to hear/see him play parts of it on stage back in the golden years...
