In 78 and 79 Van Halen was ALL business about performing their music. In 1980 we got another version of Van Halen; the party-till-you-pass-out-who-gives-a-fuck version.
In 1981 they were back in business again... that tour was almost as good as the 79 tour I saw... almost.

Saw them twice in '79 and it was mind-numbingly good.
Saw them in '80 and it was a a major disappointment.
Not that it matters, but I thought I remembered "Joe" as being a shotgun. Then again, it's been a while.
