To be perfectly honest, I think they should film a show aboot 1/2 way through the tour. The first few shows may be a bit shaky, considering they haven't played together for over 20 years.

I was thinking that maybe this scenario could work. Schedule the tour dates as planned. Play the shows in Vegas in late April. Film the Vegas shows in high def/ 5.1 srs. Include in the setlist some NEW songs with Dave. Either brand new or something from the past we haven't heard. Present the world premiere of the concert on High Def Net, HBO, MTV, or Pay Per View. Then release the show on DVD/CD. This would give us a live show and new music at the same time without going into the studio for an entire new album. This would be kinda like what Page/Plant did in 94 with No Quarter. Would everyone be satisfied with this scenario?

I would love to have some new music. If this was the compromise, I would be ok with that. Of course I would rather have a studio album, but something is better than nothing.
