I would rather listen to this album than anything the band did without Dave. In fact, I enjoy DIVER DOWN more than at least two or maybe even three of the other Dave albums.

Why is it that every time I'm in a used CD store, I see stacks of copies of said album by frustrated ex-BALANCE owners that didn't agree with you? I've rarely seen an original VH album in the used CD bins.

As for the songs you're listing...seriously, they are both mid-paced exercises in old men writing tired arena rock that most people can't stand anymore. They both are musically masturbational and contain none of the rhythmic fire that VH material of yore (such as HANG 'EM HIGH or SINNER'S SWING) burst through many a teen's speaker to this day.

And said songs are lyrically inept beyond belief.

I just love Eddie's guitar sound on Don't Tell Me and I agree... Balance is a favorite at the used record stores. But please admit that DLR has not release anything worth listening to since ALAE!! Which by the way I love ALAE. But YFLM, DLR Band (every track sounds the same) and Diamond Dave are unlistenable!!
