Reasons why the latest incarnation of Van Halen is good.

We didn't get the full blast original CVH lineup and that sucks.

But we are gonna get the great tunes of the six-pack live. We are laughing at the gravestone of Van Gaygar and pissin all over it. We'll get to sit back as Sammy the gay clown and Saucy Sally whine about the tour.

And most of all we get Dave and Eddie blastin out the classics live that we have missed all these years.

The trade off? We get Wolfie standing on a milk crate, playing with the big boys.

And we lose Mike's mastrubatory bass solo. Fair enough.

      Agreed

And we also lose all those sissy-ass Van Gaygar tunes as well

        First and Foremost,

VAN HAGAR IS GONE, FOREVER !!

That my friends is enough to declare
a fucking national holiday over !

        Secondly,

This is the closest lineup to the original band since
the original band. The only non-original member is
a fullblood Van Halen, so now we have 3 Van Halen's
        as Dave's backup band ! :D

Apart from Mikey Wikey, theres little to be upset about here !

Dave Halen is up and surfin now. These classic songs will be played with a vengance.....with every note the horrors of the last 20 years will start to fade away....like Gaygars time in the spotlight.

But he could be on the brink of a whole ner career as a gay porn star....his first film: The Other Ass.

This summer is shaping up to be a real great time concertwise.

Getting ready to buy tix for The Police, maybe Rush will come around.... and then VH..... whenever they get around to announcing dates.

Even a free Ozzfest. I'm smuggling in a screwdriver to stab Sharon in the neck. Cunt.

There is always the treat that Eddie will go into an insane crotch-kicking frenzy. But it looks like thier hatred of Saucy and Scrumly will fuel them to move past thier own differences.

For the first time since 1984 a 'Van Halen' show will totally rock with nothing but old school VH tunes from start to finish.

Just think, no more 'Love Walks In', 'Right Now', 'When it's Love', 'Give to Live', 'Eagles Fly' etc, etc, etc, destroying a VH show.

And with Dave's vocals VH will actually 'sound' like VH again.

Another positive is that younger generation rock fans going to the tour will get a taste of what the real Van Halen was, and is. Dave is an interesting and colourful character who appeals to younger people, and don't under-estimate the impact Wolfie will have in generating interest amongst younger rock fans.

Van Hagar will not be missed by anyone other than a few Sammy Hagar lovers on the Internet.

                          Good post totally agree 100%

The word MIGHTY should now be used again when talking about Van Halen

                          Looking forward to the tour

The only problem... without any new tunes... NOT EVEN ONE!!!
CVH Mach II is coming off like a nostalgia act. They'll obviously and rightfully so, only play music from 78 - 84... that's a looooooooong time ago. I wonder if they'll even attempt to bust out "Me Wise Magic" (God I hope not!!!) OR "Can't Get This Stuff No More" (That would be cool!!) Time will tell and maybe for Christmas we'll get a live CD/DVD.

Yes, the word MIGHTY will once again be associated with VH.

And can you imagine how AMPED the crowds are gonna be on this tour? The atmosphere will be electric.

Hope they film some of it. This is rock n roll history.
