He got it right....Dave is the winner. I wouldn't exactly say the waboritas or his tequila give him lasting power, but the guy loves gaygar and he admitted it.

Lasting power in my opinion is the DLR faithful that have been calling for his presence back in VH all these years. There may be some pansys out there that want to hear "dreams" and if thats the case they can go see the waboritas any time they want.

The problem with these fluff pieces is that the writer will editorialize or fill in the gaps of what he doesn't know with specultation.

I think Dave is a better guitar player than Hagar, you just don't hear that side of him showcased.
Maybe people don't see the finger-picking side of him as a skill. who knows, who cares.

and who gives a fuck how anyone's hair in the band is when you're blasting Women and Children or any of those discs?

And number 1 records mean nothing. If they did you could make the argument that Britney Spears (with hair) is better than the early Van Halen.

Anyone who could make the argument 5150 is better because it was #1 doesn't know about random facts about trends, and who's record was also out that week, etc. Hagar will tell you that himself.

These op-pieces by these editors are jokes because alot of time theyve never seen these larger than life figures such as Roth in his prime live.So it all bullshit and you just have to not read these
