Will "New" Best Of CD Sell More than BOBW or VH111??
If they get their marketing together I suspect it will do well. There's a lot of people who remember CVH fondly but don't own any of the albums. They'll spring for a best of set. Plus it'll probably have an info-mercial like BOBW had. It'll be featured in any tour ads and probably sold on tour as well.
Sucks that there's nothing in it for the loyalists like us, but what can you do. Hope for a boxed set or a live CD, I guess. Maybe there'll be a deluxe edition a few months down the road with something extra....
Is there anyone in the free world who hasn't made their own best of VH the Dave years on CD?
(my version's got Fools, Simple Rhyme, Drop Dead Legs, House of Pain, Romeo Delight, etc.) everything that won't be on this 3rd gtst hits.
Anyone remember a couple years ago where 3 dave tunes landed on the best of with Sam singing them? this was over failed negotiations with Dave. Is it all about the music or the fans? nah
I'll bet it's gonna have at least one unreleased track that will blow us all away.
Then I'll bite on a separate vintage =VH= DVD release sometime later in the year. Sales of potential DVD will dwarf the new CD and could/would be one of the best-selling DVDs of 2007--assuming adequate marketing.
It's time for the everybody involved to cash in. Got my Visa in hand and I'm not afraid to use it!
Something I read makes me think that Mikey is on the outside looking in. I believe Ed bought him out.
"Float like a butterfly. Sting like a B-52."- DLR=VH=
"Rejoice in the wife of your youth. May her breasts satisfy you always." Proverbs 5:18-19.

I hope you're right, but I can't say that I'm confident....
