Woke Up This Morning To Running With The Devil....

What synchronicity....the clock/radio comes on, just as I hear bassplayer playing the intro to "Running With The Devil".

How appropriate, cuntsidering the current hoopla.

So of course I make my morning coffee, feed the dog (who by the way does not give a fuck about Van Halen or any other band for that matter), and head out to the slave pit where I sit in shackles right now.

As I head on down the road, I realize I am still kinda furious at spEd and his idiocy.

Why?

Bassplayer is not involved.

Sure I can give FatWolfy the benefit of a doubt. Lookit his family, lookit his genes, I have no doubt he is gonna go far as a musician.

But I cannot shake my disgust with the fact that bassplayer is being treated like some kind of third-class also-ran by spEd.

This is the single greatest reunion of the past 23 years. Something that will give a serious boost to the local economy of wherever the Circus Comes To Town.

Something that will make money for all tour personnel.

Something that will give untold happiness and joy to millions.

Something that will go down in history. Something that will boost the fame of VH thru the stratosphere yet AGAIN.

And spEd is such a goddamned selfish-bastard, he wants to deny bassplayer the chance to be a part of it.

Like it or not, MICHAEL FUCKING ANTHONY was ONE-FOURTH OF VAN HALEN!

He DESERVES to be given the opportunity to go out and be a part of this glorious event.

But no.

Poor widdul baby spEd can't handle sharing such an event wif bassplayer.

I remember one fine morning when my clock/radio turned on just at the very beginning of RWTD. Instead of the annoying alarm beep, I was awoken to the sound of the bomb drop, then the bodacious bass beat intro.
I LOVE waking up to CVH! Makes my whole day much better.

Eddie Van Halen is about as dysfunctional and out of touch with reality as the worst of 'em. I wish the sober assholes in his life would grow some balls and take the reins away from him. The sober folks in his life need to really stand up to him and let him know that he cannot have his way every time. The sober folks need to take charge and make solid decisions about VH, despite his tantrums or whatever it is he does to get his way. He cannot be allowed to rule this beast alone because he is clearly unable to do so! There is nothing worse than a dictatorship steeped in profound paranoia and abandonment issues. Or whatever the fuck his problem is.

Even though I will go see 3/4 VH IF they get it together enough to tour, like I said...it does not erase the fact that spEd is fucking the fans over.

Perhaps not so much as he would be if he toured with some other singer.

But here is one chance to let VH have a shot of some serious glory after 23 years of mediocrity, and he has to throw a fucking wrench into the proceedings.

It is like an itch you can't scratch.

They are certainly headed in the right direction, but it just is not going to be 100 % withouth bassplayer.

And what bugs me is spEd's treatment of bassplayer, moreso than only being able to see 3/4 VH.

Instead of 100 Proof, we will only get a watered down version of 75 Proof.
