Sometimes you guys here make me laugh. the song musically is pretty fucking good, does have a early WACF vibe. Real Raw guitar tone . It seems that at the army here that this song and any other one's to follow was already doomed before they even get released. Now before anyone goes and start bitching at me, let me explain. Everyone here know's that you can say anything about Sammy but the other three are still VH to me and i will pick a verbal fight with anyone who bash's them. Everyone know's, that if it was Dave singing to the music no one here would be bitching. The lyrics and melody i think Dave could have come up with would have been just amazing. You guys have to remember that Ed 's not trying to write unchained 2 or another RWTD. So if everyone here Hates Sammy Fronting VH as much as i do, find a way to turn him down and crank the music up.
killer tune/horrific vocals

I liked about the first 30 seconds, but couldn't finish the song, couldn't even hang in there long enough for the guitar solo...but there are so many threads, and a fair share of speculation and opinions about how this was/is a Dave/2000 song. I am just tired of repeating how and why it could have, should have would have been a Dave song... (they said they re-worked it to make it more radio friendly)...before they let Gaygar fuck it up. I think it would be hilarious if VH revealed it was a Dave song...watch some of these mo-fos squirm... including me. I was all set to like the song too. but i don't.Comment

Hmm... tone has a more modernish sound to me than anything VH previously did. Surprised that it's Hagar era (again) though... they usually use a lot more processing on their tunes.Comment

For a guitarist and songwriter of Ed's caliber, this song smacks of a lack of effort. Yet that's to be expected, because Ed hasn't really put an effort into much of what he's done since Roth left.
The few examples I can think of where it sounds like Ed put an effort into what he was doing post-Roth are:
5150 (the song)
AFU
Pleasuredome
Humans Being
The production and sound is dry. No ambience.
And no musicianship to speak of. Disposable and non-memorable.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment
