Unlike a lot of you, I'm not in a "fuck Ed" state of mind. I'm just not that selfish. I want to see the guy get his shit in a pile, and if it takes this, then so be it. Alcohol and drugs have probably been the cause of most of the problems with this band, and now it seems that it has finally caught up to EVH. Sure, that is his own fault, but no one is perfect...everyone fucks up. The man needs help. Sometimes you've got to hit bottom before you can climb your way back to the top.

I am glad that this particular episode isn't the result of fighting between Ed and Dave, or at least it appears that way to me. Dave is talking as though he is still with the band, so like he says, "hope springs eternal."

All evidence points to Hendrix's death to being a tragic accident. The guy was at the top his game IMO. 28 fucking years old for christ sake. 28, jesus. He had a whole lot more to give and a joint here and there and a tab of acid every now and then was pretty normal back then.

totally agree. and yeah, some claim hendrix' death to be a conspiracy where the peramedics had him tilt his head back whille he was throwing up and then chocked on his own vomit, so i guess you could say that he didn't kill himself but he got himself into that state in the first place

No one in my whole life has touched me like Ed, I fucking worship this guy, I gotta tell ya. I just wanna hear what we all know he is capable of, but when it is with Dave it just becomes bigger than the both of them.

This whole thing is truely fucked and my wife wishes she had never heard of Eddie or Van Halen. We were all set to jump on a plane and fly from Australia to the USA, I actually convinced her it was a good idea now I am trying to explain why it aint gonna happen.

I'd like to say I', optimistic about a tour happening, but reading that I have to say I'm not: if Ed can't be arsed to turn up for an awards ceremony, which literally requires him to travel to New York, sit down, and look smug, then what chance is there of him making the effort for a tour.

Reading that article, the inference is the Livenation have bent over backwards to make this happen, and it's still a no-go.
