Dave certainly seems optimistic, but Livenation clearly aren't.

Sounds to me like they are really trying to make this happen and having a real problem with Sped....

Maybe they should ditch ed, bring Michael Anthony back and hire someone else to play guitar.

        Ha Ha!!

Without Ed, they wouldn't be playing arenas, and they would have ALex either.

Another solution would be to hide all the alcohol in America, or to drink it before Ed does...

          True.

With all of these recent events, it also makes me wonder as to how much more pathetic Hagar will look at that induction ceremony? I mean, the world's still in shell-shock and wants answers regarding the current sitch. Nobody wants to hear about Hagar and now more than ever.

The fucker has a lot of cunt showing up there alongside Dave. I hope Dave delivers a speech from the BAND, Anthony can say whatever he wants and Hag can be the prelude to a commercial or a dinner break.

Gosh, fucking ENOUGH of that guy!!! Is that too much to ask?

Dave talking to the press is probobly gonna set off the sisters VH once again..

the Diamond one..keeping it real for the fans!!!!

Lets get that summer SOLO Roth tour in motion!!!!!!

EVH- what a tragedy..even through the early Van Hagar years..Eddie still seemed like a cool , down to earth guy that just ruled at the guitar and was always one step ahead of everybody and was his own guy..the custom guitars, the studio, cruising around 5150 in a striped golf cart with a cute actress wife and a young son...he had it all....

I remember reading about how Ed would just give guitars and 5150 stacks to players like Jerry Cantrell and what an awesome guy he was, Helping out Jason Becker, supporting an unknown genious like Allan Holdsworth...

                the guy does need rehab....

After reading all these posts, I don't quite see it the same as the rest of the Army. Here is why!
So Eddie can't tour? So what is the next move in that case? I am sure they(Van Halen) could pull out a new album! Think about it? Eddie doesn't have to be completely sober, he could lay down some cool riffs, same old solo and the rest would be in Dave's hands to complete lyrics, mix the album?
This could be better than a tour? We might actually get a new album which would be way better than a tour!
                  Hope springs eternal!

Yesterday I emailed a good friend of mine who works locally in Indy for Live Nation. I was asking about the rumour of tix going on sale this weekend or next weekend. He emailed me back last night and said everything for VH is on indefinite hold and it's not looking like it is going to happen. He's not far enough up the chain to know the why's of it all but he does get the memos.

It definitely does look like Live Nation does not want to deal with the drama that is VH.

Guys, i'm just seeing things somewhat, not differant, but with a wonder. Some of the facts or the way it seems is, This postponment, has nothing to do with in fighting within the band, of couse meaning Dave vs. the VH's. So that comes down to the promoters, live nation. This maybe a stab in the dark, but what if, Live nation wanted a hellava more cut off the tour than what was aggreed upon from the beginning.

They may have seen how much buzz was starting to happen and wanted a bigger piece of the pie. That prompted Ed to go off. We still don't have any facts to what led us to this, other than some inside soure guy from live nation saying dealing with Ed is somewhere between axl and jackson.

I think it would be wrong to automatically blame this on Ed for things such as his drinking and whatever. This to me boils down to a buisness gridlock of sorts, not a personal thing.

As far as what Dave said about the RRHOF, this was the first time really Dave said anything about it, so him saying the VH's may not show up could have been the plan months ago.

I really believe, that when the fame show is aired, the band will be there, can't see them missing that. I do believe as well, the tour will happpen, at one point, but i also am kind of happy it is delayed till whenever. We can all hope the time with Dave will produce some new music, and really thats what i wanted in the first place out of these guys, with Dave back in. Have a world tour with some new music, not tour off the same classics thats been around for 30 yrs.
