How about you guys, stop starting bullshit threads, that would be nice. Anything from then, up until something comes out offically from the band, is pure specualtion and here say.

All this crap about, oh wolfie is trying to help his dad out and shit, cracks me up. The facts are this, VH is Ed, Al, Dave and wolfgang. They were supposed to have a 40 date tour this summer, but for whatever reason, it has been put on hold. Anything other than this, is unknown to all except for the people in the know.

Another fact is Wolfie, likes classic VH, and he was the catalyst to get this started, nothing more or less.

I secretly decided since this "on-hold" rumor that I'm not going to try to see this show. Why? Um...well, I've seen the videos that have been posted and I think my cash might be better spent (especially the potential amount) seeing a hungry new band in a small club instead.

I am a naysayer (unfortunately) I'm just not as loud about it.

so far, the way they have handled this whole thing its half assed. as far as I can tell this looks to me like the nail in the coffin.

how many times do we get ass fucked ? no other fans of a band have been fucked over more.

a band like CVH should have more PR than what has happened. infact I feel as if this was a scam. poor Dave, how could he let it happen again? are we gonna get another "it wasnt me, ed did it" statement release and how dave was an unknowing participant ?

Have always enjoyed seeing Dave live solo, but Dave with Van Halen is something different...

This recent pullback by Van Halen 2007 has given me a chance to reflect on why I was so ready to let all my own prerequisites slide, and the answer was that I wanted it so badly I was willing to let my own standards slide to the point where what I was going to end up getting wasn't what I even wanted. Not even close.

I want all the original members back together, and I want new music. At the very fucking LEAST I want all the original members together. Van Halen was never just about one person for me, or even two. Roth and Ed were the essence, but not the whole magilla.

Nothing else will ever do.

If that happens, I'm sure it will be posted in Main promptly. Short of that, I need to take a sabbatical from all of this 2007 nonsense for a bit. Sounds stupid, but I find these days that I'm getting pissed off like it was October 1996 all over again, and fuck that. Life's too short not to learn a lesson or two along the way. It was easy to laugh at Van Halen 3 because the dust had settled a bit from 1996 and it felt like the sisters were getting what they deserved...and how could one NOT laugh at the 2004 debacle (unless you were a promoter, in which case you were too busy crying)...but with Roth onboard...that music is sacred stuff to me.

Dave rejoining was supposed to be the factor that put an end to the lunacy of the Van Halen saga since, well, really since 1985, but at the very least since the whole 1996 business. It wasn't supposed to be yet another chapter in Eddie's ten-year long + string of fuckups.
