VH1 Classic 2007 RNRHOF Coverage/Promo Spots

Well in all fairness to REM who is a band I really like a lot, their careers have gone downhill fast in the past 5 years or so or even longer. Ever since their drummer left they have imo become too weak of a band (not that they were insane before.)

REM has had a very sucessful career so I don't see any problem whatsoever w/ VH getting top billing not to mention there are 5 members of VH going into the hall of fame only 2 of which are definately still in the band "Van Halen" and imagine that their last names are Van Halen. So a lot of people will tune in to see exactly what is going to happen w/ them.

Am I the only one not excited about the Hall of Fame ceremony? I think it's a joke. The Hall sucks anyway (they haven't inducted The Stooges, Alice Cooper, KISS, Dead Kennedys, New York Dolls, etc....and it took ages for Van Halen to get in). And the band can't even play at their own induction?

I hate Eddie Van Halen.

It maybe a joke..but anytime Dave is the center of public attention, its a good time, IMO...especially when he's getting some credit he has deserved for along time...I can't wait to see people kiss his ass

RRHOF is billing VH as their top dog... unfortunate for the fans though... as the event will most likely just be a total pisser.

Many hope for surprises... well hope springs eternal. My money is on 3/5ths of the gang being there minus their name sake. Maybe Val and Wolf will show as a token and make excuses for pops...

Seriously, my disclaimer was meant for FORD, ELVIS, Stoffa or PA. I was busy when I wrote the thing and didn't have the time to read through all of the HOF related threads. I think it's a decent topic and that's why I started it. If they'd felt it was covered prior in the other threads then I was a sayin' "dump it."

Yes, I both felt and still feel that this is a valid thread cos I am seeing a lot of ads on VH1C for this ceremony and VH keeps receiving the top bill in every spot.

I'm way stoked to see this induction ceremony. I've never actually watched one in it's entirety. Also, I feel that many of our questions and specualtions might possibly be answered that night. It's going to be cool to see and hear Dave recieve accolades as well and I'm extremely dercited. I'm definitely going to sit back, either have a nice cupla glasses of shiraz or a few nice beeyas and enjoy this thing. Hopefully it's not going to suck. With Hag being there, there's a lot of shit already. lol
