Eddie isn't your dad. Your misplaced anger at Eddie is kinda sad...nothing wrong with being angry at your dad, but you should keep the anger where it belongs. Not every drunk is exactly the same. My dad was a drunk too..but I don't know Eddie. Nor do I claim to know the inner workings of band relationships, and Eddie's particular dysfunctions.

It doesn't matter anyway. I have to give kudos to any addict who tries to help themselves...no matter what the odds are. At least Eddie has tried rehab before, and is trying again. Some addicts will never admit they have a problem!

Just think about how you would feel if anytime you made a mistake, you were shown no mercy, and made to pay for it. Put yourself in Eddie's shoes and multiply that by thousands. I bet your sorry ass couldn't handle it. I bet a lot of the cocky assholes on this board couldn't handle it.

Eddie's behavior has alot in common with my dad. It's not very hard to tell he treats everybody like crap.

His wife gave him the boot and he can't get along with anybody other than his brother.

Sorta like my dad. My dad gets along with me, but that don't keep me from seeing what he really is.

You still haven't proven anything. You have no facts or proof that he doesn't have friends, or people who like him, or people he gets along with. Please disprove that? Ed's playing was all feel. This is why so many players tried to sound like him but couldn't. Players are still trying to get his sound. It's all in his hands and not so much amps or guitars. It's all feel. You have no idea what you are talking about.....as usual.

He looks like a homeless bum, is in rehab again, looks like he is 65 despite being only 53.

LOL. So scoring a song, and hosting a shooting of one porn movie makes him "heavy" in the porn business? And his g/f is not a porn star, she's a publicist (you should probably get your facts straight before you make such comments). And lastly you're basing his character on his looks??

..and we come back full circle to the ignorance factor. I hope you learn a thing or two by the time you're 30. You seriously need some enriching experiences in life. I hope you get that, I really do. Otherwise, it's a sad waste of a young life.

It took many years for people to stop being influenced by Chuck Berry.

Didn't take very long for the the Van Halen train to come and go.

You are clueless. You cannot play a rock song without playing SOMETHING that Chuck Berry brought into it. As far as Eddie goes, well let's see...just about any rock guitarist who is WORTH A SHIT has been influenced by Edward Van Halen. I don't consider the jackasses you hear playing "modern" rock as real guitarists. However, even a lot of those guys were influenced by EVH. I've got a kid who is almost 16, and what do he and his friends listen to? Van Halen, AC/DC, etc.
