Doubt it will happen. For one thing, he doesn't really have a band right now. They all moved on to other projects because they knew Dave was going back to Van HALEN.
What Dave should do, he and Alex actually, is get to work on the vaults, putting the box set together, releasing DVD's, or whatever, to keep the name of Van HALEN in the news, build a receptive audience for the band, and then when Eddie is ready to go, launch the tour of the century.Eat Us And Smile

Use it to work on DVDs of concerts and even box sets, etc.

'Van Halen' as a current entity is a punchline. The Van Halens made themselves the butt of the joke. Roth gets a pass for 1996, but he is now a 'witting participant' each time he steps back into the fray...it may not be a case so much of the Van Halens intentionally fucking things up as much as it is inevitable they WILL fuck things up by default, but Dave oughta know better, at least by now...many of us here should have known how this was gonna end up (some of us said so at the outset...I wasn't one of them).
Sure, Roth can tour solo this summer. He can go that route anytime he wants. Dunno about going on tour as a response to the Van Halen 2007 tour flopping before it even started, though...Dave's been touring for the last 7 years anyway, so just going out and doing more of what he's already been doing isn't much in the way of a response. But there's really not much else he CAN do...Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment
