Man, I'm sick of all the negative BS on these boards.

As I've stated before, van hagar crashed and burned last night. Not Van Halen. Sammy's screaching was music to my ears. The embarassment belongs to the tequila salesman and even he knows it. The beauty of last night was that all things van hagar is now dead and buried. Long live the Kings!

Break out the six-pack. Grab your best girl. Get loused up like your favorite guitar player never should again. Van Halen has absolutely no competition from the cheap imitators that came after. Whether we ever get a tour or new music is a moot point. The smoke has cleared and ONLY the classic Mighty =VH= is considred worthy.

We're in the last chapter folks. And we won, dammit! So, forget your fear, loathing, doom and depair. You're Van Halen fans not Nirvana fans. Sail your yacht right through it.

How can Van Halen be dead if you're gettin' your game on to the six pack? That's my point here.

Baby, I knew back in 1985 that those six releases placed the Mighty VH head & shoulders above the fray. And it's that music, those videos, the interviews, the photos and the vibe itself that live on no matter what happens next.

I still firmly believe that, Lord willing, the Dave and Eddie Show will be back in circulation. Perhaps not with quite the same roar or bite (Hell, bands half their age can't muscle that up), but it will be worthy and it will be a blast.

Ultimately, let's celebrate the legacy that is, the fiasco that was (RIP van hagar), and the future that still could be.

Interesting perspective.

CVH music is the only Van Halen worth mentioning or remembering, IMO.

CVH as a band with a future...I dunno. Ed just seems broken.

But you're spot on that what CVH did hasn't been diminished by the passage of time, false reunion starts and bland music put out under the Van Halen name with other singers. If anything, all that nonsense has just made the CVH legend that much stronger.
