Honestly, I could care less at this point.
Van Halen, for me, pretty much exists in the six pack and memory. Unleass something miraculous, and I do mean MOTHER FUCKING MIRACULOUS happens, I won't even give a shit.
Dave's comment "...well, if Eddie can dry up..." sounded really callous to me. Nothing wrong with that on it's own, but it just kinda proved to me that nobody's in this for anything except the money and sheer desperation.
Of course, no Michael Anthony...another 75% version of Van Halen...Roth or no...just another rip-off...
Come back with a clean and sober 100% effective Eddie Van Halen, get Mike back (as much up to Mike as it is to Ed and Dave and Alex), fuck this Wolfgang on bass bullshit, record a FULL LENGTH album with the feel that '96 hinted at, do a FULL SCALE TOUR, NO greatest hits vol. 28 album, followed by a new live album and a remastered, remixed, well produced classic (1985ish?) live album/DVD, release an official "Vaults" album, and then I'll get excited.
Outside of that, I really don't care what Van Halen chooses to do with itself anymore. If they don't go that route and stick with the plan as it is...no.

Sadly, I don't think we will ever see the Van Halen tour we were all hoping to see. I don't hold any faith in these guys anymore. If you want ticketes for "The Police" show and you're willing to miss the first 5 minutes of the show; you can score tickets from scalpers at face value or less. It's always worked well for me...last time U2 was in town I paid $160 for 2 tickets because they were already 5 minutes into the show and the scalper didnt want to eat the tickets he had left .Originally posted by blonddgirl777

They went on sale on a saturday at 12:00... impossible to get a phone line or to log on...
By 12:10, some where already on "E-Bay" (for $500.00 and up)...
By 12:30, all of them where gone!
They added a second date, and the same charade happened.
It is like that for every famous show.
Unless you have connections and are ready to pay a huge price, you simply CANNOT have tickets!
It sucks... BIG TIME!
And what really sucks is that the old time fans (like myself) are not the ones ending up being there at
"retirement shows"...
We diserve it, damn it!
I don't eaven want to think about how it will turn out for V-H... we do, have a connection but will we be able to afford it?

New album with Dave or this legacy will be no longer a legacy, something thats been teatering on the edge of oblivion since 96. Can't treat your fans like that, work it out and be men stop being rich babies.
This time with Ed is understandablt but if an album and a tour ain't done within the next year or two the VH legacy will fade behind Motley Crue's and Aerosmith's, and possibly even Poison's too.
Almost everyone i talk to thats my age now has no idea who Van Halen is anymore, yet they know Motley Crue, Aerosmith, and Poison. I talk to lots of random people too around town. I say Panama, and they say Huh? Never heard it before.
