Since Dave is now an EMT and is trained to think on his feet, making a quick assessment of a life and death situation, did he walk into 5150 and go into EMT mode? I'm sure Dave's been in many a crackhouse in NYC saving lives, so did 5150 resemble a crackhouse with Ed as the main crackhead?

I can picture Dave coming in and calling for an ambulance to come get Eddie before Eddie overdosed. Maybe Dave saved Eddie's life and sent him to rehab? Anybody?

Hell, I can even see Ed threatening the EMT while they were pushing his ass into the ambulance with a kick to the crotch.

those guys have done some monumental partying together,its probably the only time they get along.

Dave likes to party, but make no mistake about it. He knows how to live life. He might like a hefty line now and again, enjoy a little smoke on a sunny day, or a drink at the club, but he surely aint holed up in a corner, recluse style, blamin the world and everyone in it for all of his inadaquecies.

I know Dave makes mention in his book of the two of them snorting lines together on Ed's wedding day, but I'm with Elvis on them not partying together a lot.

Edward is an introverted recluse who probably did most of his partying alone...

Dave is more of an outgoing, extroverted, Type A personality who is the life of a party...

Don't you have to be tested for drug use to be an EMT. Come on. Dave is licensed to run a defibulator to shock people's hearts back into pumping with high voltage. I don't think the City of New York wants coked up potheads doing it. Dave has to be sober these days.

I've heard in some places he was an EMT and other places that he was a paramedic.

I know paramedics have more capabilities with the patient and make more money.

You'd think that Dave would have gone for the full paramedic training.

I know the difference, Elvis...I got my EMT training in less than a summer [a couple of months?] in PA back in the early 90's, although I never used it, since I work in a hospital lab...I prefer not to watch people die in front of me on the job.

However, I thought paramedics had less training than a 4 year degree...RN's can get through an accelerated 18 month program in some places, and still have an associate's degree...
