"Hear that O.F.? If old school Army gals with solid track records of contribution choose to bless us with their tits, ass, vagina, or just sexy eye shots, leave them be (at least until I've had a chance to rub one out)..."
That is all.

Unchained at the Whisky A Go Go? You talk about shitting on the same stage that Van Halen practically launched their career from.
Diver Down LOOKS more like a tribute to Sammy and Michael Anthony in terms of weight management.
I'll give all the tribute bands mentioned here a brownie point for trying but hands fucking down, there is no better CVH tribute band than the Atomic Punks. It has been said that they do CVH better than CVH which isn't too far of a fetch. I've seen them live and they talk the talk and walk the walk. Moving Pictures, the Rush tribute band which is half of the Atomic Punks, is just as incredible. If the Punks are ever in your area, make the effort to check them out. You won't be dissapointed. I'm not from their camp, trying to promote them. I just know a good tribute band when I see and hear one.
Originally posted by m_dixon1984 Back in the late eighties, early nineties Montreal/Ottawa/Toronto was blessed to have Van Whalen touring the bars. These guys were pretty damn good. They blew away any of the other VH tribute bands touring the bars back then. Probably no comparison to the Atomic Punks but when even VH wasn't playing much CVH live Van Whalen was the band to see (few, if any, McSammy tunes)
However, I might have been drunk for a few years back then and they may have sucked ass.

Ha ha ha... I saw Van Whalen in Moncton, New Brunswick back around 1990. While they sounded good, the guy who was trying to be Dave was like Dave with an extra 40 pounds on him.... looked like he ate one too many cheeseburgers.
I've seen the Atomic Punks twice and they're awesome!
I don't know why I even bother answering these threads, but as I've said a million times, NOBODY does a better job at being a VH cover band than The Atomic Punks.
Van Hayride shows Who cares about tribute bands anyway, oh wait, I guess we are technically one, but hey we are not pretending to be VH.
NYC every Sun.
I saw one VH tribute band once...was able to only watch about 30 minutes of it before I felt a strong urge to go slap them all about the head and neck area with violent force.
I don't like tribute bands especially when they try to mimick the behavior of the original band. It's kinda creepy, "wanna-be'ish" to me.
