    Roth vs Hagar eras

    VH RECORDS NEW TUNES
Van Halen has recorded three new songs for inclusion on "The Very Best of Van Halen," expected to come out later this summer via Warner Music Group. The cuts "It's About Time," "Up for Breakfast" and "Learning To See" feature vocalist Sammy Hagar, who is rejoining the group for the first time in eight years. The double-disc "Very Best" picks up the Van Halen story with the iconic "Eruption" from the group's self-titled 1978 debut. Every major hit is present, from the David Lee Roth-era smashes "Jump," "Panama," "I'll Wait" and "(Oh) Pretty Woman" to such Hagar-associated material as "When It's Love," "Why Can't This Be Love" and "Finish What Ya Started."

This is from the radio station in Detroit(WRIF 101) plugging the New best of cd. Notice how it says Roth-era smashes as compared to Hagar-associated material. What else needs to be said.
    Roth rocks and Hagar SUCKS!
I have listened to that new song 5 times trying to hear something I like out of it. This is far worse than the music they put out with Gary the Fairy.
Anybody who says they like this weak shit is either a liar or deaf.

I just listened to "Without You." And while Gary, much like Spam, is no lyricist. "Without You" kicks that new crap's ass! "Without You" even has a good guitar solo.
