Fender finally gets it, too bad Ed doesn't get it at all.

Mentally, but ok that's old news.

And now, in honor of Eddie Van Halen, who will serve as the Honorary Race Official for the Subway Fresh Fit 500, we present the main attraction, headlined by Kevin Harvick. Buoyed by his Phoenix sweep in 2006, Harvick has the best Average Running Position (6.043) and Driver Rating (114.7) in the past four desert races.

As a diehard hick NASCAR junkie following my boy Matt Kenseth. FUCK OFF ALL YA. Racing is not boring if your sitting around getting drunk and playing cards or boating, depending on time of year, with numerous friends. Got to make up that 4 hours of circling around and around with some entertainment. It gives me an excuse to my wife for getting smashed.

Anyways, a point here is that NASCAR has gone way away from country music and into alot of rock. As a matter of fact they occasionally play Van Halen among numerous other rock bands for highlights and preludes to race. This could be more than the fender guitar shit and an opening up of what may be in the works for Van Halen. An advertisement derderder for a reunion. NASCAR does not pull out some dick knob for Honorary Race Official unless it will make them money. I don't think the guitar is going to make NASCAR money but I do think that a much anticipated reunion tour of VH will because it will be one of the hugest grossing reunion tours on record (if you leave out the Striesands or Stones. I bet alot of you will be watching atleast part of of something most of you would never watch. Rant over

Eddie Van Halen to act as NASCAR official
In what might be Eddie Van Halen's first public appearances since entering rehab, the guitarist will be at Phoenix International Raceway in Arizona this weekend for NASCAR's Subway Fresh Fit 500 race. On Friday (April 20th), he'll unveil two guitars at the track -- a custom-made Fender Stratocaster and a limited-edition EVH "Frankenstein" model, which is a duplicate of the guitar he played in Van Halen's early days. Then Eddie will be back at the track on Saturday (April 21st) to act as an honorary race official, when he'll help greet the drivers as their introduced before the race begins. At the conclusion of the race, the winner will be presented with the custom Fender guitar.

Eddie said, "I am honored on behalf of EVH Brand guitars, amps, and musical products to be invited to such an exciting and fun event. I feel privileged to be working with such amazing organizations like Phoenix International Raceway, their NASCAR event, and Fender."

Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber said, "I'm personally delighted that Eddie Van Halen has accepted our invitation to join us as our Honorary Race Official for the Subway Fresh Fit 500. There is no one who has had the kind of impact on music that he and his band -- Van Halen -- have had. I know it will be a thrill for the drivers and fans to have Eddie at Phoenix International Raceway for the NASCAR weekend."

Isn't it a strange coincedence that Dave mentioned Nascar back in December when the reunion rumors started? He drew an analogy between Nascar and their reunion, saying that people watch Nascar to see the crash, not the race.

I sure hope these guys have something up their sleeves. Maybe Eddie will loosen the lips and give us a hint about VH's future at the race.

No. If anything, rehab was a way of avoiding the HOF and facing Hammy, Mikey and the press....Plus, at the time, he couldn't play a lick of original music.

                  Look at 07 Namm

                  pathetic

Im thinking he's clean. Fit and itchin' to start playing again. He better call Mike though...His fat kid dont want to tour!

He may want to let Dave know, just what the fuck is going on... That would be nice.
