I saw an interview with Martha(what is her last name?) and she said this was one of her first interviews with MTV. She was only 22 years old. She had a huge crush on DLR and she said she was really nervous. She had a hard time even looking up at Dave. This interview had be in 1982 since the intro mentions 5 multi-platinum albums and MTV started in Aug/Sep of '81. I find it very intersting that Dave mentions all non-musicians as influences. The only artist he mentions is Beethoven.

Her name was Martha Quinn. Anyone remember the tool that used to do the original Headbangers Ball. The only thing metal about him was his long hair. I think his first name was Adam.

One time, years ago, I warped my Skyway Tuffwheel jumping this sidewalk and landing way too hard. This was one of the old Tuffwheels...not the Tuffwheel II. If anyone knows anything about the old Tuffwheels? They'll know I'm talkin' like '78-'79.

                (Tuffwheels were nylon BMX rims)

Anyway, the old Tuffwheels could supposedly fix themselves (warping) if you exposed them to intense heat. (Placing them on the roof of your house) You guessed it. I did exactly that with the one I owned that was warped, and listened to the first side of VHII over and over again..(parents console stereo turntable with the porch windows open.)

I almost forgot.....it was SUMMERTIME....south crackalackey. Lotsa humidity and shit. If someone were to start a thread like, "What do you remember most about VHII?" I'd probably go, "The way the eight track used to click in the middle of the solo on DOA, or when I was trying to unwarp my BMX wheel on the roof of my house, and these dipshits next door were mad 'cause I told 'em they couldn't jump on my fucking trampoline."
