Dave's gotten the shaft from Ed more than once.

Dave had to sue those fuckers just to get his royaltees like the other three. They renegotiated and left him out of the loop. Dave is a legend. Although he will always be remembered as the front man, he was a very behind the scenes man as well, and perhaps more importantly. Besides all that, he is a writer, an actor, a director and a gigilo. What's next, stand up comedy? He looks in really great form in Gunlsingers New York party pics. Dave and Eddie were the driving force of the six packs music, with Dave penning all lyrics and also helping ed with music composition... BUT Dave was clearly THE driving force for the BAND as a whole.

Ed, obviously, took more control of the "band" sans Roth... while being worked by Daniels, etc., with less and less and less success all the way to the point of VHIII.

Dave, unlike Sam, will not come back to just be a hired hand front man working for peanuts. No, he BUILT the whole damn legacy on his hard work... his creative genius... his promotion, marketing, shoe leather and sweat.

If Ed did want Dave to front the tour, why the hell isn't he? Is Dave asking for too big a piece of the pie? Does he just want his back-royaltees plus 25% of the tour profit? I have a feeling that Ed and Dave really aren't on bad terms right now, since they supposedly hung out in 2000 and did a few tunes.

Ed knows that a Dave fronted tour would rake in more cash, thus he could afford to shell out the cash for those royaltees. I don't get it.
