She & Eddie are still legally married and I think Val still believes that she can keep Eddie from putting himself straight into an early grave. It’s obviously not working unfortunately!.

She sure can pick and chose when Wolfgang is involved. Eddie has been an admitted alky/drugy since his early teens. What if Wolfie has some of those same genes. You think Val want's Wolfie around all that so he can end up like Jack Osbourne or something.

I disagree that she should not have been at the bash. They were married for 20 years before splitting up (even if they are not divorced). Lots of men I know get more sex from wives they are seperated from than when they were living together, but that is not the point. Whether Val and Ed are still screwing is irrelevant. There is a lot of history there, and the only thing I have heard or read from the two of them about the cause of the seperation is that they had just "grown apart".

The point is that no matter how f-cked up Eddie is, he is legally (if questionably) Wolfies father. It is good if Ed and Val are able to get along. He has a right to be involved in Wolfie's life regardless of what type of influence he may be. Val knew what he was like before they had Wolfie. Wolfie had to have been excited about seeing the show and wanted to be there. Val was right to take him. Also, Wolfie performed (even if brieflyl) and Valerie was right to be there to offer support and watch his performance.
