memorial day weekend 1983 i was 5. my birthday is the very same day as carmine.
    july 2nd.
this year i will be 30.

my mom loved cvh.....she had a thing for dave....like so many other women did.
since mom and i both loved cvh,we went to the shows together.
long beach arena and l.a. forum1981,the us festival1983,and l.a. forum 1984. i went on my own to van cherone on july 4th,1998.
the tix were my 21st b-day gift from the guys in the band i was in at the time. so, 2 days after my b-day.......i saw that show.i never went t a van hagar show. i have been to see sammy doing solo shows, but never van hagar.i like sam's solo work......well, some of it. the older stuff.i like the montrose stuff. i hate the van hagar stuff.

        Classic stuff.

Not really one of their best gigs, but still classic stuff.

of course is was in fact the worst cvh show ever. but that is the very reason it is such a classic.
musically, they played like shit, but it was entertaining as hell!!!!!

not to mention the fact that it took place in front 300,000 people, myself included.

the odd thing is,for being the worst cvh show,it is still one of their most memorable.it is one of the greatest gigs ever played.

the show was so horrible it was fucking great!!!

I was there. I rode in the back seat of a Porsche 911 through the fucking desert and through three states for 1000 fucking miles to see that show and it was a let down. Dave was so fucked up I was actually pissed because what is funny now seemed so fucked then.

                You're right-it's sharp.

Looked like Dave noticed too late and bailed on the duet with Ed...

Brought it back proper, as usual. :D

Yeah, it's not their greatest performance, but it goes to show that the worst CVH recorded performance obliterates that "Live Without A Nutsack" weak "official" release.

Is it true they had no plans on performing until the "payday" amount was discussed?

I remember that thread. For those of y'all that missed it, go find it. Without a doubt, the greatest collection of CVH memorabilia ever shown on this fucking site.
