Time to stand up and be heard!
If you've been following the thread about getting a DLR era live DVD put together @ DDLR.COM, you know that there were plans to put together a petition to be presented to the copyright holders of unreleased VH footage. If you haven't been reading it, well now would be a good time to start.
John (TDS) & I (Easy989) have created a petition for this purpose: to get whomever is sitting on this gold mine of classic footage to consider the production of a CVH live DVD. Naturally, we'd like to collect as many signatures as possible for this thing. Maybe there is some way of indicating to the VH brothers just how much money they could make with this kind of venture...by getting as many signatures as possible on this petition.
So if you would like to see unreleased material used to make an exclusively CVH DVD, go ahead and sign. Hell, even if you don't want to see a DVD, sign it anyways. Do a favor for all of us fans of DLR VH. Here's the URL for the petition:
Go ahead & read it over. Although your email address is required, it won't be visible to the public unless you make it so. Show it to other people who may share this interest so they can sign it as well...tell all your friends who might possibly give a shit to sign it, trick some old folks into signing it, whatever gets signatures on the petition. Sure, nothing may come of it...hell, that's what we're all used to with this band anyways, but it's not going to hurt to give it a shot.
