A little VH chat with a member of "Saliva"
I met the bassplayer from the band "Saliva" last night. His name was Dave. lol
Anyhoo, they were playing a show in SLC last night and again, I was fortunate enough to both meet and chat with the dude. Honsestly and embarrassingly, I'd never heard of this band prior.
Although and now, I realize that I'm familliar with a few of their tunes.
Well, this dude was a cool guy, he gave me a CD and we talked music for about fifteen minutes. OF-FUCKING-COURSE I brought up Van Halen and no surprise, his sentiments were that of us all. He's also a HUGE VH fan!!! Dave (that's his name) said how fucking embarrassing it was to be a Van Halen fan the night of the RNRHOF ceremony. He said that there was "never" a Van Halen without David Lee Roth. Quote/Unquote he said "David Lee Roth WAS the ATTITUDE of what made Van Halen great!" He also said that most anyone and everyone thinks Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony made a joke of the Van Halen name by not only showing up but playing a tune that nobody (who's a VHfan) gives a flying fuck about. lmao!!!
All of this coming from a current rock and roll band's bass player. I just thought it was a cool little tidbit to share with you all and no big deal. Just something that's somewhat VH related. Dave also said that he's heard that VH is planning on cutting an album prior to a reunion tour and that David Lee Roth is a permanent fixture in VH's future.
Again, I know this is all very dumb and small taters but still cool. Just thought I'd share the scuttlebutt with the rest of the soldiers.
