    Bluegrass Band career ending?

Seriously, can DLR recover from that fabulous blugrass tour that he did on all the talk shows? I thought it was career endingly embarrassing. Then again I thought he killed his career that fateful night on Leno back in 94 sitting next to Robin Williams. Brutal.

I didn't have a problem with it. But in any case, I'd think fronting a band...I don't know, maybe this Van Halen act he's with now...might just do the trick...

Well, on the plus side, you happened to be wrong on both counts. That being the case, don't put too much stock into what you think...I'm sure he'll be fine...

Hayseed Dixie plays AC/DC tunes and nobody cares.

Dave sings a few of the classics in that format and his carreer is in the crapper?

      I don't get it.

      I didn't get it the first time,either.

Lot of folks didn't care for it.

Lot of folks didn't care, period.

Some took it for what it was worth - just a fun step outside of the boundaries. It's not like it was a calculated career move...just goofing off for the fun of it, same thing he's always done...

True , anyone who is a long time Dave fan knows he's always had diversified tastes. Did anyone think VH was headed for the crapper when they did "Big Bad Bill"? No!
People who thought Dave tanked on doing "California Girls/Just a Gigolo" were proven wrong when DLR comes back with "Elephant Gun" ,"Shyboy" "Yankee Rose".
So he goes to Vegas to do some song and dance. Big deal.
Dave does whatever the fuck he wants and always comes back to kick ass Rock and Roll !

The bluegrass thing is just another feather in his cap...
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!

            amen...

dave said BEFORE the bluegrass thing that nothing he or the sisters would do musically could come out as a success as long as the =VH= soap opera gets no ending...

His singing was just so BAD. His scream is gone and his underbite jaw smile sorta mad him look menatlly retarded. Plus the term, "Rocket Surgery." Huh? Let's just say they lost a lot of valuable time since 1996.

Robin Williams and Leno are the reason Dave looked "foolish" that night. They were both huge dicks to him.

I liked the bluegrass thing. Not more than other shit Dave did, but it was still cool. I think when the average person says the name "David Lee Roth" they automatically think of Dave from 84 and when they see him they are dissapointed. Short hair. Voice isnt the same.

Dave will make a fortune on the CVH tour and he can rest on that. I'll be happy for him. After that Id like him to do more tracks like some of the remix dance/hard techno shit he sampled on BBQ like Scarecrow and Flex. He's got somethin' there! Fuck touring after the reunion, just make some TUNES!

Dunno about the bluegrass thing being 'career ending'. Mostly because his career was in the same condition prior to the bluegrass album as it was after that was over. Played the same size venues he had been, etc.

I've found that most of the people who don't "get" that particular phrase are quite simply stupid.

                        Take that however you like.

thats the way he sings, there just wasnt 110 marshalls behind him and a giant pa system.

if it wasnt for his underbite, there wouldnt be the killer rock and roll voice, change anything in his mouth and daves voice is gone.

rocket science + brain surgery= rocket surgery , you + daves sense of humor = a fucking idiot.

                              Dave sounded terrible?

Well, he's in his 50s, whoop-de-fucking-doo, he doesn't sound 26 anymore because he's not 26, how many people sound practically the same 25 years later? I can think of possibly one, Paul Rodgers.
