I actually think it will be nice not to have to sit through that damn bass solo.

Not to Crush your Groove, I don't care what analogies are reached grasping somewhere for something, some way to say this is CVH, it Ain't, this is not CVH.

It be a new band with Roth up front Ed AL and The Wolfster.

I am looking forward to the new -TAKE- on the -CLASSICS- some, New Tuneage, from this incarnation of Dave Ed Al Eds son.

Once again it is VH only by name It is as much Van Halen as we are going to get rite now.

Dave and Ed on the same stage getting it done is all I need, they could contract a diff drummer or bassist in every city for all i care.

        I want to hear this.

Then someday -I- want CVH to reunite and tour.

This has always been a scrap between the Roth fans and the Ed fans.

I am happy as six muther fargging sum bichies, at a chance to see Dave live or perhaps some NEW MUSIC.

With or without the VHalens.Any or all whatever .

Y'all know to whom I'm referring.

I don't know where ANYONE who's stoked about this tour is in anyway, shape or form calling it 1981 revisited. Yes, it's a reunion, greatest hits and nostalgia tour. Honestly, I don't give a fuck what it is. I'm just stoked (as are many) to see Van Halen play live again. So, save the fucking "They won't be playing anything new" routine and fuck you people. You're fucking hypocrites cos y'all went and witnessed that 2004 horseshit and for what (be honest) the three new tracks off the second greatest hits album? BULL-FUCKING-SHIT!!! Y'all went to see Van Hagar, plain and simple. Now we're doing the same with Dave and you're all cryin' in your cheerios and using "Mikey" as an excuse... Spare us all...

As for the same folk bellyaching that we're expecting the band to be the same as twenty plus years ago, are you off your rocker? I've listened to the new cuts of the old classics and am stoked to get the goosebumps having Dave and Eddie perform them live.

This thing's going to be FUN!!! END OF STORY!!!

I don't think I even need to go down the Michael Anthony/Wolfgang road cos it is what it is and that's been stated over and over.

My point? I'm stoked that they're actually going to do this. I know, I know and I know... We'll all believe it when we actually see it...

However, this is and can be closure for a lot of us who've been waiting for some 20 odd years, capiche?

After the tour, then we can start hoping for a new album cos we're all hopeless addicts. lol Otherwise, not a one of us would've continued posting regarding the band for this many years.

Have at it but I'm stoked, will catch as many shows as possible and will party with friends whilst doing it.
Some of us want to see this, and others don't.

            Fair enough.

Those that want to see it taking a thread piss on those that don't is about as cool as those that don't calling those that do mindless sheep.

            Neither view is accurate.

Had nothing to do with the 2004 debacle, and am giving this version a miss. But not looking to rain on the parades of anyone who is going.

            Peace:bottle:

Would you consider Jimmy Page/Robert Plant/John Paul Jones...LED ZEP? I assume you would, even if Jason Bonham was on drums.

Same deal with the current VH Lineup. It's Van Halen.

I think that's a rediculous comparison, no offense.

Bonzo made up a large percentage of the original vibe and sound of Zeppelin, while I can't say the same thing for Mike in VH. Sorry.

                    My thoughts exactly!
Zep without Bonham is not Zep.

I wouldn't consider it Led Zepp, not would I compare Bonham's input to that band to Mike's in CVH.

But I would still go and see Plant/Page/Jones quicker than I'd fuck Carmen Electra. So you comparison is a good one!
