This band is a nightmare

The whole damn shame of it all is that this band is beyond repair. The dynamic of Roth being the leader/visionary of this band is so over. Because of the success of the band after Roth, the brothers will never be under his thumb even if he ever re-joins. They may record and tour with him, but they will never listen to him like they did in the past. So we would only have Roth rocking with this sorry group of clowns behind him onstage. They will dress like idiots, act like idiots, talk like idiots, and play like idiots. Why should I hope for Roth to return to them? At least right now he can assemble a kick ass band of hungry players like EEAS, DLR band, and the Sam & Dave band.

I get the feeling if Ed and Al ever do anything with Dave, it's not because they're gonna want to so much as they'd feel pressured to, and that wouldn't be an attitude or vibe I'd be interested to see.

Specially if they decide to reunite the classic lineup as a grab for the cash cow and say "we're doing this one tour with Dave for the fans" bs.

If Ed wants to make an effort to put some new music out with Dave that has intensity, that'd be one thing, but if it's gonna be some half-assed effort like this Van Hagar tour comes across as, none of them should bother.
