I have seen Wolfmother twice in St. Louis within the past year and they rocked. If VH is thinking new bands they would be good, even with the "Wolf" connection. I went to "B.O. Fest" I mean "Ozzfest" last night and my hangover is still hanging so I didn't get my own Wolfian slip.

Wolfmother would be a great opener, if one was required.

I'm embarassed to say I was at the VanGaygar show in T.O. in 2004 (friends dragged me there and paid for my ticket, seriously). However, the opening act Silvertide impressed me. Last I heard they were working on their second album. They would also make a pretty good opener.

If there was a vote that counted, though, I would go with the Rush format and no opening act. I'm also hoping to see something cool before the band hits the stage. 10 or more minutes before the last Ozzy show I saw he had a hilarious video montage playing on the big screen. Ozzy was superimposed in lots of scenes, i remember his face replacing Alanis' in part of one of her videos. It was a hoot. VH should shoud do something like that, something for the fans, something a little unique and memorable.
